I know I have not been updating my blog lately and i deeply apologise - I have been really busy with my college course as well as some commission paintings I need to finish.
I have updated my page of college artwork of all my anatomical drawings from skeleton to muscular and then to skin and form, trying to get the details right. let me know what you think!!
I have posted my drawings so you can see some of the workings and experience I have built up instead of just seeing completed paintings. I think it helps you get a better perspective of my experience as an artist and also gives you an insight on the quality of the work I am producing. In the hopes that you have more confidence in my art and commissioning pieces.
I have been researching on digital artists aswell and learning more indepth view of Art History from 1750-1960, I am finding out about so many interesting artists and composition. I know people say it is a mine field learning art history and it is in some way it is but in other ways its so simple and it helps when you have someone explaining all this stuff to you. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning about art. The next time you look at a portrait painting think about the following:
1. How sucessful does the artist paint the sitter
2. think about the following when you answer - Pose, Composition, use of visual elements and media, colour and pattern
You will find out so much- I did this on a painting of where I didn't know who the artist or sitter, I only knew the job of the sitter and you would be amazed at what you discover. Please try it and let me know what you found out.
Well I will be more timely now and feel free to use my college drawings to improve your own art and remember practice PRACTICE and PRACTICE ...
